Bill Sampen (14U Head Coach)

Bill was drafted in the 12th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1985 MLB draft. Bill pitched 10 years professionally including 5 seasons at the Major League level with the Montreal Expos, Kansas City Royals, and California Angels. In 1990 Bill was voted to the Baseball Digest All-Rookie Team. He has 10 years of experience as varsity head baseball coach at the high school level.


Kevin Barnhart (16U Head Coach)

Kevin is a graduate of Ben Davis High School and has much experience as a coach at various levels. He is the father of Tucker Barnhart, the Cincinnati Reds gold glove winning catcher. Kevin is an Educator by trade and combines his knowledge of the game with his love for teaching kids.


Derek Hankins (15U National Head Coach)

Derek was the 10th round selection of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2004 out of the University of Memphis, where he still holds the single season strikeout record. His professional playing career included a rise to the AAA level as well as stints in the Arizona Fall League, Venezuelan and Dominican Winter Leagues as well as Korea.



Isaac Sampen (17U Head Coach)

After being named as an Indiana All-Stater, Isaac originally committed to play baseball atWest Virginia of the Big 12 Conference. Personal matters led Isaac to Parkland CommunityCollege where he became a Junior College All-American after leading the nation in slugging percentage. Isaac then continued to Eastern Illinois University as a two-way player, but played only a few games before injuries ended his playing career.


Leo Tobasco (17U Head Coach)

Leo graduated from Brownsburg High School in 2012 after only making 3 errors in his high school career. He took an academic scholarship to IU and played two years of club ball under the legendary IU coach, Bob Morgan. Leo is in his 3rd year coaching for the Indiana Expos and is an infield instructor at Samp’s Hack Shack.


Brian Harrison (16U Head Coach)

Brian comes to the Expos with years of experience as a high school and travel coach. Brian spent time as the Freshman, JV Assistant and Varsity assistant at Brownsburg High School from 2007-2009. In the subsequent years he served as the head coach of the Indiana Bulls (12U), Indiana Prospects (11U, 12U, 13U) and the Indiana Outlaws (13U, 14U). Brian’s teams not only won 13 tournament championships during these years, but also finished ranked in the top 10 in the nation (2009). Currently, Brian serves as the JV Head Coach at Bishop Chatard High School.
